Jess is one of the most inspiring yoga teachers that I have ever had the pleasure of taking a class from. She makes everyone feel welcome in the class regardless if you are new to yoga or have been practicing for years. She makes great suggestions for modifications to each pose that she incorporates into her classes whether it be to make it more accessible or to make it more intense, depending on what you are needing in the moment. You can tell that she takes lots of time and effort when preparing for her classes as the flows feel natural from one pose to the next and it goes with the music that she selects as well. She has a nice technique of setting the stage before class starts with either asking everyone to set an intention, providing suggestions for an intention, or starting with a story that ultimately brings forth a theme for the class. I find that it helps me to focus more during class if my mind starts to wander during the intense poses. She has a great way of helping those in her class correct their poses to make sure that you are not going to injure yourself (if needed) and she also provides hands-on adjustments if you are open to it as well. I have followed Jess through a few different studios because her teaching style really resonates with me and I find that I am able to have a great practice with her guidance. I would highly recommend anyone to try a class with Jess as she is simply amazing as a yoga instructor and as a human being.
